Today, ladies and gents of the 21st century, I’ve gathered up a pretty interesting photo album that dates back to 1938. The album consists of a string of the most important dating advice that you’ll ever come across. Trust me, you will crack up when you dig through this abomination of an album. So, powder your nose and tighten up your corsets because gals, your men are gonna be wowed after you apply the following:

Manga Company Collaborates with NEOM For Saudi Animation Series

Saudi Manga productions, a subsidiary company of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Misk Foundation, announced a fun collaboration with NEOM.

The $500-billion megacity project in the Kingdom’s northwest will host the second season of “Future Folktales,” the Saudi animated series that attracted a global audience of over 70 million!

Dr. Essam Bukhary, CEO of Manga Productions, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with NEOM for the setting of the second season of ‘Future Folktales.’ This partnership brings Saudi Arabia’s creative industry together with NEOM, an incubator of creative capabilities and ground-breaking technologies that embodies the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

He also added that the link-up supported the company’s goal of inspiring future generations “to be part of the development of NEOM and build a bright future for all humanity.”

Al-Nasr said: “We encourage those in the creative industry around the world to participate in Manga’s competition which will be held in 2021.”

Abdul Aziz Al-Naghmoush, business development manager at Manga Productions, said: “Since its establishment, Manga has been committed to investing and developing talents to enrich Saudi Arabia’s creative industry.

“Our partnership with NEOM supports this commitment by being the home and future of dreamers and doers.” He added.

Netflix Teams Up With Saudi Arabian Telfaz 11 To Produce 8 Films

The global entertainment service Netflix has partnered with Saudi Arabian production and financing group Telfaz11 to produce eight new films.

This exciting collaboration will allow global Netflix members to gain an insight into the life and culture of Saudis. The mixed range of films, which will highlight the Kingdom’s knack for comedy, which will appeal to 195 millions members with diverse taste in films.

“Great stories can come from anywhere and be loved everywhere. We are expanding our library of Saudi content and showcasing the beauty of Saudi storytelling by joining forces with its creators to produce authentic and intriguing stories that will resonate with both Arab and global audiences,” Nuha El Tayeb, Director, Content Acquisitions, Middle East, North Africa and Turkey at Netflix, said. “We hope that Telfaz’s work will offer Netflix members around the world a chance to experience Saudi culture, humour and art.”

Telfaz11’s CEO and Co-Founder Alaa Fadan also expressed his excitement to join forces with Netflix, the thing that proves Telfaz11’s success, he also added the movies will “showcase for global audiences the incredible culture, locations and talent that exists within both our region and the Telfaz11 filmmaker network.”

The first of the films, which are all developed and produced by Telfaz11, is scheduled for a late 2021 release.

Top Saudi Titles Make it to a Catalogue of 44 Arab Movies on Netflix

Netflix, the leading entertainment giant, is releasing a new cataglogue that will include 44 movies by Arab directors, such as Youssef Chahine, Youssry Nasrallah, Nadine Labaki, Moustapha Akkad, Anne Marie Jacir, Laila Marrakchi and many more.

Among the list are Saudi titles that have made their debut on Netflix this year, including the newly released and first Saudi thriller and drama series, “Whispers,” the award-winning short film collection “Six Windows in the Desert,” and the first Saudi animation movie, “Masameer.”

The new catalogue will bring together cinematic masterpieces and contemporary rising stars from the Arab world’s entertainment industry, this way giving a platform to Arab talents to display their work.

The stories come from the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia, Morocco, Syria, Algeria and Sudan.

“We want more people around the world to have access to great stories and have the chance to see their lives represented on screen,” said Netflix MENAT Director of Content Acquisitions Nuha El-Tayeb.

“We also believe that great stories come from anywhere and can travel everywhere, connecting with audiences far beyond their place or language of origin,” El-Tayeb added.

“We’re honored to share these classic and contemporary films with our members in the Arab world and globally.”

You can already find some of these film on Netflix and the rest will be available soon.
