The GEA Is Giving Saudi Youth A Chance To Win SR20 million!



The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) is offering a golden opportunity to young talented Saudis in which they get to show off their talent for a chance of winning SR20 million!

The program will be accepting applicants until the end of July for evaluation to start in August. The aim is to discover hidden talents and aspiring young Saudi artists and provide them with training opportunities to help develop them into global artists.

The program is covering 20 categories that will include playing instruments and singing, comedy scripts and content, graffiti, animation, films, acting, on-screen fashion, culinary arts, and circus and acrobatic talents. This variety in the categories will allow more participants to join in, and showcase their talents.

The evaluation and nomination phase will be in August, which will be followed by talent judging in September where voting will take place, and winners will be announced in October.

Prizes will include training programs, tools and resources to enable their professional development.

The GEA Challenges is sponsored by the GEA and supervised by Tam Hub, a Saudi media and information sciences company.

The Concerts to Look Forward to In February

On the 13th of February, the world-renowned theatre Company, Caracalla will perform ‘Jamil and Buthainah – A Love Legend from the Oasis of AlUla’ in the beautiful Maraya Concert Hall.

The show will mix music with visual performance and dance to take you on a trip to the historic world of Jumail Buthainah.

Enrique Iglesias & Gypsy Kings in Maraya

On the 21st of February, visitors will get to enjoy live performances with a “Latin Feeling” with dual concerts by international Latin artists in the unique setting of the Maraya concert hall. The first performance of the evening is by Gypsy Kings, followed by a performance by Latin superstar Enrique Iglesias. 

Box seating includes access to the VIP lounge, light snacks and drinks during the performance and VIP seating at the Gala Dinner following the performance.

Lionel Richie and Craig David

Another spectacular dual concert by the legends Craig David and Lionel Richie in the unique setting of Al Maraya concert hall on the 28th of February.

Kool & the Gang & Sister Sledge

Happening on the 27th of February, Kool & the Gang will kick off the dual concert with their iconic songs including Celebration, Cherish, Jungle Boogie, Summer Madness and Open Sesame then Sister Sledge will take on the stage.

Dubai to Host A Huge Music Event With A Good Cause And Hope to End Poverty




Dubai has been announced among the cities that will host Global Goal Live: The possible Dream, the epic global music festival that aims at bringing an end to poverty worldwide.

The 10-hour music marathon will take place across six continents and in cities including NYC, Seoul, Lagos and more in Europe and Latin America yet to be announced.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai made the announcement on Wednesday via Twitter.

This one of a kind ambitious event which is organized by the NGO Global Citizen, is set to take place on Saturday the 26th of September. The aim behind the event is to encourage several governmental and private entities to take action towards ending poverty, in addition to influencing the millions viewers who will witness the mega event into tackling the climate crisis.

So far, the global line-up includes the likes of Coldplay, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Miley Cyrus and Pharrel Williams, with many more big names yet to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

As for the hosts, expect to see Idris Elba, Katie Holmes, Trevor Noah and Hugh Jackman all in attendance.
