Riyadh forum to discuss technological development

Abdullah Al-Sawaha, Saudi minster of communications and information technology, is launching a forum and international exhibition on Wednesday; to discuss the technological development.
It’s important to highlight the growing role of Internet of Things (IoT), and how it is becoming an essential part in cyber security and defense; this role is to be discussed and highlighted during the three-day forum that is happening in Riyadh.
50 speakers and more than 300 companies are taking part in the conference; to discuss the development of technology and the different applications used in areas ranging from digital processing systems to defense.
The conference will also provide workshops that will be offering practical advice, while Saudi and international companies will be showcasing tech development.
The importance of this field comes from it being an investment opportunity in the near future; as digital experts expects that the growth of the Iot market to reach $600 billion by 2020.

The Region’s Largest Music Festival MDL is Coming to Riyadh

Riyadh Season keeps on getting more lit and to make things even hotter, the MDL electronic music festival is coming to Riyadh for its first edition ever with a number of the world’s very best EDM superstars and DJs including David Guetta, Tiesto, Afrojack, Martin Garrix, Black Coffee, and Steve Aoki.
The region’s largest music cultural festival will take place on December 19th and until the 21st and it will witness 18 global superstar headliners, 28 international dance acts and 24 local and regional performers.
The stars include global EDM and DJ stars, David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki and R3hab, alongside the biggest homegrown Saudi artists, including the country’s first female EDM DJ, Cosmicat, and the Saudi DJ duo, Dish Dash.
Saudi DJ, Ahmad Alammary, member of the festival team, said, “MDL Beast is more than just a festival. Empowered by innovation and technology in live entertainment, MDL Beast is also a platform with multiple objectives including ongoing seasonal local and global events, online and radio channels, recording studios, and a non-profit foundation promoting music education and therapy. We’re confident MDL Beast will be like nothing seen before and we cannot wait to experience this transformative musical milestone.”

The Kingdom Is Hosting The World’s Very First Desert Polo Tournament

The Kingdom is set to host AlUla Desert Polo, the first of its kind to be held in partnership with the Saudi Polo Federation and also the world’s very first ever desert polo tournament.
The tournament is set to make its debut early next year on January 16th till the 18th, which will take part of the Winter at Tantora Cultural Festival.
The tournament will take place at one of Saudi’s most exquisite locations, the UNESCO heritage site in AlUla which will open to the public in October, the Desert Polo is also considered as a milestone in Saudi Arabia’s sporting and social journey.
