Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman Honored Graduates of King Faisal Air Academy

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Monday attended the graduation ceremony at the King Faisal Air Academy in Riyadh of the the 97th batch of students.

The ceremony also saw the presence of the Minister of State Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd, Interior Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif, National Guard Minister Prince Abdullah bin Bandar and Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.

Maj. Gen. Hazim Al-Ghashyan, the academy’s commander, then gave an inspirational speech in which he spoke highly of the Saudi leadership in showing tremendous support for the college and its students.

The batch included international students who came all the way from Bahrain and Kuwait to spend three years learning at the Academy and training with their fellow colleagues.

The students then delivered a military of the academy’s cadets followed by reciting their oaths and finally their results were announced.

The crown prince handed out awards to students with high achievements, and certificates to graduates from other countries.

Saudi Arabia’s Green Falcon Team Qualifies For Tokyo Olympics

Saudi Arabia’s football team has been qualified to the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament Tokyo 2020, making them the first Asian team, after hosts Japan, to book their place at the Olympics.

The Green Falcons made their victory after their 1-0 win over Uzbekistan which made them progress to the final of the AFC U-23 Championship Thailand 2020.

This will also mark the team’s first qualification to the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament since 1996.

Two more Asian teams will be joining Japan and Saudi Arabia, those who will qualify in the second AFC U-23 Championship finalist and the winner of the third-place playoff.

The Men’s Olympic Football Tournament Tokyo 2020 will kick off on the 23rd of July and the match for the gold medal will be played on August 8th.

30 Mosques Renovated Under Crown Prince’s Plans to ‘Develop Historical Mosques’

The first phase of the Mohammed bin Salman project for ‘Developing Historical Mosques‘ has been completed with the renovation of 30 mosques across different regions in the Kingdom.

The project had cost so far more than SR50 million ($13 million) and the first phase that covered 10 regions took 423 days, this falls under the crown prince’s plans to renovate 130 historical mosques in the Kingdom.

Renovations are done with the help of specialized companies in heritage buildings to ensure the preservation of the historical landmarks, and the involvement of Saudi engineers as well to ensure the preservation of each mosque’s authentic urban identity and at the same time use new, high-quality materials.

This historical mosques have been closed for over 40 years and the government is working hard toward renovating them and opening them once again to the public.

The renovated mosques will include several facilities such as women’s prayer rooms, services for disabled people, air conditioning, lighting and acoustics.
